Always told Hondas have noticeable shifting. Flush w/new formula Honda DW-1 ATF significantly improved shift performance. Very poor shift quality, slipping, chatter, etc. Known problem but no fully successful countermeasure available yet. Probably torque converter according to dealer.

Severe transmission judder and slipping when cold. Reflash of the program and drained and refilled the transmission. It wasn't a big deal, really.įlashed the ECU to re-program the software.

They did a software upgrade, which fixed the problem. It's a CVT, and it had a low-speed judder, which I gather is pretty common. Dealer had to provide photos to the manufacturer before replacement of CVT was authorized under warranty. Dealer found pinhole leak in the CVT casing. Repair done under warranty.Ĭontinued transmission fluid leak. Originally diagnosed as torque converter seal - when repair was done, diagnosis was changed to wheel axle seal. It was under the associated TSB.ĬVT fluid leaking. Replaced the valve body and updated the transmission firmware.
